The unique design, in which the handle seems to flow seamlessly from the body, was made possible through the use of a technique called slip casting in which slurry is poured into a plaster mold. The atmospheric finish is achieved by applying a specially formulated glaze onto the clay which contains iron. It is the cup of Cup and Saucer set, designed with a lid.
