This larger mug features a motif following the zodiac signs, or constellations. The outside features an unglazed bisque finish, while a transparent shiny glaze is used on the inside. The first magnitude stars in the constellation have been treated with a method called Hotarude that allows them to show through when held up to the light. Meanwhile, the crescent moon hidden in the handle give the piece a playful mood.
