Leaf & branch Y-type Color

This chopstick rest was modeled after actual tree branches. Each was finished painstakingly to give a sense of the lightness of real tree branches. The nature of the plaster molds is leveraged to express the delicate plant patterns and relief as accurately as possible. Incidentally, the coloring of this piece is created using a kneading technique that blends the dye directly into the clay.
